Some Lincoln County parents were upset after seeing photos of a reported, surprise school lockdown drill.

The pictures taken Wednesday at Stanford Elementary showed armed officers in tactical gear.

Some parents said they would have liked to know about the drill in advance.

They also said that they were not comfortable having their children around armed officers.

The Stanford Police Department responded to the concerns on its Facebook page.
