Somber 7th Anniversary Of Comair Crash In Lexington

It was seven years ago today that Comair 5191 took off from the wrong runway at Lexington's Blue Grass Airport and crashed, killing 49 of the 50 people on board.
It has been seven years since the Comair 5191 plane crash at Lexington's Blue Grass Airport.

Forty-nine of the 50 people on board died in the crash on August 27, 2006.

The lone survivor was co-pilot Jim Polehinke.

The plane took off from the wrong runway on a pre-dawn flight bound for Atlanta, crashing immediately after takeoff.

A crash memorial now stands at the U.K. Arboretum.
