The battle at quarterback is a three-way affair for now.

Max Smith is sort of the incumbent but the slate was wiped clean when Mark Stoops and Neal Brown's staff came to town.

Now it's an open competition between Smith, Patrick Towles and Jalen Whitlow.

Each guy currently taking reps alphabetically, with Brown saying he won't answer any questions about the position.

Stoops also not keen on the idea of divulging that info just yet.

So I went straight to the sources themselves and ask just how they think they're doing halfway through spring ball.

Smith and Towles (with some great one-liners) in the video.
