Shots Fired Outside Apt. Complex Near UK Campus

Lexington Police said shots were fired Friday night outside of an apartment building near the UK campus.

Officers were called around 6:45 p.m. to the 100 block of Prall Street.

Witnesses told police two groups of men were arguing, and started shooting at each other.

Officers said one of the groups took off in a silver car.

Investigators said a vehicle was struck by a bullet, and shell casings were found in the area.

According to police, two people who went into an apartment were detained and questioned, but have not been charged.

Officers said it does not appear that anyone was shot.
