Kroger stores across the Commonwealth of Kentucky will be collecting items for victims of domestic violence this weekend.

Kroger said a table will be set up in each store with a list of items that are needed at 15 domestic violence shelters across the state. Shoppers can pick up the items while they shop, and then drop them at the table before they leave. Several items needed are school supplies, toilet paper, and soap.

In 2012, Shop and Share Day collected nearly $800,000 worth of goods and money for domestic violence victims. Organizers say $1,000,000 is the goal this year.
