Lexington Shooting Victim's Family Holds Vigil

Antonio Franklin Jr. was shot and killed at Duncan Park in April. A month later, his mother held a vigil at the park to stand up to violence.
Anita Franklin, the mother of Antonio Franklin, brought her community together at Duncan Park Tuesday.

A month earlier, on April 13, Antonio was shot at the Lexington park. He died the following day.

The families gathered and played on the playground together to show they were united, standing up to violence.

An informational booth was also set up to encourage friends and family to become organ donors.

Franklin's mother is a nurse and chose to donate his organs when he died.

Later in the evening, a candlelight vigil was held in memory of Franklin.

Police say a juvenile has been charged in connection with Franklin's murder and they plan on making more arrests related to the case.
