Shooting Leads to Assault Charge

A man is facing charges for a shooting in Lexington.

Police arrested Charles Thomas on Wednesday at police headquarters.

Thomas is charged with assault.

According to his arrest citation, Thomas shot a man multiple times on November 22nd around 8:30 a.m.

The victim, who has serious injuries, was able to identify Thomas as the shooter.

The arrest citation doesn't list specifics of the crime, but back on November 22nd, Lexington Police responded to a shooting on Danielle Lane at 8:35 a.m.

A man was shot multiple times inside his apartment.

That victim, Joseph Cobb, was seriously injured.

Thomas is due in court to answer to the charges against him on Thursday morning.
