Sheriff's Department Seeking Help In Identifying Woman

The Jackson County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a motorcycle crash victim.

Officials say the mystery woman suffered head trauma in a motorcycle accident on Thursday, June 14th around 11PM on Highway 30 East, about three miles from the Jackson/Owsley County line.

Sources say the woman's name could be Patty and she is 47 years old.

The driver of the motorcycle told paramedics the woman was a passenger on his motorcycle when she fell off. He drove off soon after giving this information.

The Sheriff's Department said there's been no contact from anyone concerning this incident. They've contacted Laurel and Owsley Counties to see if a missing persons report has been filed, but there have been no reports made.

According to deputies, the woman was flown out by a medical helicopter to UK Hospital.

The unidentified crash victim is between 5'5" and 5'6", 184lbs, with sandy-blonde shoulder length hair. At the time of the crash, she was wearing light gray sweat pants, a plain white t-shirt, and yellow flip-flops.
