Sheriff: Marijuana Growing Operation Found In Madison County

The Madison County Sheriff's Department responded to a complaint of marijuana growing outside a house on Boggs Lane on Monday.

A release from the Sheriff's Department said deputies found nine pot plants growing outside the house.

Deputies obtained a search warrant and said they found an indoor growing operation with an additional 15-pot plants inside the house, along with a quantity of Oxycodone pills.

The release said the resident of the house was not home at the time of the search.  Charges are pending.
