Three teenagers were involved in an accidental shooting near London Saturday.

That's according to the Laurel County Sheriff who says it happened just before noon when a 15-year-old was holding his grandfathers revolver in the kitchen.

Deputies say the teen told them he tripped and the gun went off hitting his 14-year-old friend in the stomach.

They say the 15-year-old called 911 and the boy who was shot was airlifted to UK hospital.

The third teenager, the alleged shooters cousin, left the scene before deputies arrived.

Investigators say the owner of the gun wasn't home at the time of the shooting.
