The man who killed a University of Kentucky football player in 1994 was seriously hurt in a car accident in Louisville over the weekend.
Louisville police said Shane Ragland was involved in a single-car wreck on Saturday afternoon that shut down part of the Snyder Freeway.
Police said Ragland lost control of his Dodge Durango and hit a guardrail.
Ragland wasn't wearing his seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle, which flipped during the accident.
Back in 2007, Ragland pleaded guilty to manslaughter for the 1994 shooting death of
University of Kentucky football player Trent Digiuro.
At last check, Ragland was listed in serious condition at University of Louisville hospital.

Not true= he hit our car. He entered the I-64 east and we noticed he was driving very recklessly- fast and out of control. Next thing we saw was his airborn vehicle coming down on us. We waited for the police to talk with us and take our statement- and there were a couple of witnesses that agreed he hit our vehicle. The police never answered our questions about who the driver was or what his insurance company was. We live in N Carolina and have to hire our Attorney to fight this guy. He has 5 DUIs according to what we've read. How is it that he still drives? what is wrong with this picture? He will kill someone eventually- he almost killed us.
