Fire Rips Through Home in Lexington

Several Lexington Fire units were called to a house fire near downtown Lexington late Sunday night.

Firefighters were called to the scene of a house fire in downtown Lexington Sunday night.

Firefighters say the fire in the 400 block of East Second Street started in the back of the home and quickly spread up the attic. They say the back of the home was engulfed in flames when they arrived, prompting officials to call about 15 fire units to the scene to help fight the fire.

Firefighters officials are still investigating the cause of the fire. No one was injured in the fire, according to officials.
