Section Of New Circle Road Down To One Lane Beginning Friday Evening

Beginning at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 26th, the right lanes in both directions of New Circle Road over Chinoe Road in Lexington will be closed for bridge deck restoration work. The lanes will reopen at 5:00 a.m. on Monday, July 29th.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announces that temporary lane closures are scheduled for the New Circle Road Bridge over Chinoe Road in Lexington. 

The closures are necessary for bridge deck restoration work to continue.

Work schedule and location:

 

  • Friday, July 26 at 8:00 p.m. through Monday, July 29 at 5:00 a.m. – the right (slow) lanes in both directions will be closed on the New Circle Road Bridge located over Chinoe Road.  The bridge is between Alumni Drive and Tates Creek Road (MP 17.049).

 

The left (fast) lanes in each direction will remain open during the hours of work.

 Appropriate signage and traffic control devices will be in place to alert motorists.

All scheduled work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.

 The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.
