A section of KY 169 in Woodford County is scheduled to be closed for construction from 6 p.m. Sunday until 6 a.m. on Tuesday.

The road, also know as Pinkard Pike, will be closed to allow crews to switch lanes of traffic to the new section, transportation cabinet officials said.

Crews will close KY 169 (Pinkard Pike) between KY 33 (Troy Pike) and KY 1967 (Shannon Run Road) while the work is completed.

Construction crews said local access to homes will be permitted.

Motorists are suggested to take the signed detour from KY 33 (Troy Pike) to the Bluegrass Parkway. Then, from the Bluegrass Parkway take U.S. 60 to KY 1979 (Shannon Run Road). KY 1979 will take drivers to KY 169 (Pinckard Pike).

The transportation cabinet reminds drivers to use caution in the work zone and be aware of signage, road crews and other drivers.
