Georgetown police continue their efforts to round up drug traffickers.

According to police, 31 people were arrested yesterday in Georgetown and charged with drug trafficking.

The Georgetown, Scott County, and Kentucky State Police were all involved, arresting 31 people in less than 24 hours.

Police say 41 people total will be charged.

Police found most of the people at their homes Tuesday...but Georgetown police say there are still 10 more to be arrested.

Lt. Robert Swanigan says the charges are not just for drug possession, but for trafficking, as well.

Lt. Swanigan says the biggest problems are prescription drugs, heroin, and cocaine.

With 41 people or more to be arrested, the Lieutenant says it's a significant number...but that they're making a tremendous effort.

He adds that Georgetown police have been working on this case all summer.

Those arrested were taken to the Scott County Detention Center.
