Schools Placed On Lockdown In Theft Investigation

Bourbon County High School and Middle School were placed on lockdown Wednesday morning due to a nearby drug store theft.
Bourbon County High School and Middle School were placed on lockdown Wednesday morning due to a theft at a drug store located about a block way from the high school.

Paris Police say the theft occurred at about 9 a.m. at Wilson Drug. Police say a woman in the drive thru told them she was grabbing her prescription in the window from the clerk when a man in cargo pants and a black mask ran up and stole her pills. The woman told police she did not recognize the man.

Police searched the field behind the drug store. Air 1 from Lexington was called in to search from above. Carlisle Police brought in a K9. Police have not yet found the suspect.
