Scott County schools are dealing with an outbreak of whooping cough.
The health department says there are now eleven confirmed cases of pertussis.
It says all of the affected students are on antibiotics, along with the people they came in contact with.
The respiratory disease is very contagious.
The health department has some advice for parents.
It says that if your kids are coughing, don't assume it's allergies.
The health department says it's best to take them to a doctor for a pertussis test.
