Blue Grass Energy says its customers have been getting calls from a scammer.

The caller tells the customers their power will be shut off if they don't make a payment soon.

The victim is then told to buy a prepaid debit card and call back with information from the card...giving the scammer access to its funds.

Blue Grass says they will 'never' instruct members to purchase anything to make payments.

Customers can pay online...by phone...by mail...or in person.

They say if anyone gets a call like this...call the police...and then contact blue grass energy.
