More than a hundred people joined leaders of different area faiths and congregations in Triangle Park in Downtown Lexington for a prayer vigil for the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.

Across the street in the Lexington Center's Heritage Hall a gun show was being held.

Pastor Woody Berry of the Maxwell Street Presbyterian Church says it was simply a coincidence that the vigil was held on that day and at that location.

He says members of the gun show were in attendance at the vigil and supported the prayer.

The gun and knife show will be held all weekend at the Lexington Center.
