Would you people please shut up with all this religious intolerance? Complaining and pushing your religion over the internet is like somebody pushing their non-religious views through prayer. Okay? Good talk. Now just imagine how stupid you will look in 40 years from now, the same way all those racists looked back during the last big Civil Rights movement, every person deserves to live their life how they want to!!

I can not wait for those that are busy judging to be judged. By judging others you are justifying yourselves as hypocrites, which is sinful in itself. I never understood how the faithful love that gay couples demonstrate could possibly hurt anyone or anybody. Meanwhile, we would rather uphold a cheating husband as being more respectable than many honest and hard working gay people I know. Remember, God loves the sinner, not the sin. People need to realize how foolish they are when they choose to act as though they are all "holier than thou." Not one person on here is perfect. So therefore, you have no right to judge. Has anybody ever stopped to think about these children born with congenital disorders and have both boy and girl parts? What's your answer to that since everyone on here has managed to come up with all the answers out of the Bible? You can quote the Bible all day but lets forget about what the Bible teaches us about loving one another. Do unto others as you would have done unto you...and guess what? You wouldn't have expected to be locked out of prom for going with your partner, even if he was the pot-smoking loser of the school. Therefore, lets ignore one of the important lessons of the Bible, which is loving others and teach our children to hate and demean others because they are different. I pray that someday you all will see that many of the people God chose to be his deciples were sinners and wrongdoers. This is my opinion like you all have yours. I just hope that someday people will see that more people will be destroyed for their hate than they will for their love and I never understood how more love in this world made it a horrible place to live. Seems to me I would rather be around a group of loving and supporting gays than a church full of hypocrites that judge others and then manage to cheat and lie outside their church doors. I hope gays finally get equal legal rights. I am sure they dream of marriage just the same as I do.

This seems like a very tough situation on both sides. However, I agree that this is why parents send their children to a Catholic school. There are too many worldly influences, and it is the schools' responsibilities to limit them. I graduated in '99 and I have heard from many recent graduates that there is a lot of pressure from within the school to atleast try to be in a same sex relationship. If this is the case, and parents are complaining about it, there are codes that back these concerns that the school has to abide by. I also agree that these girls made it uncomfortable for all the other kids. On the contrary, it is sad that it has come to this because there is nothing biblical against two of the same sex going to prom together, just sleeping together- and beign Lexington Catholic it is not like anyone can get too close at prom regardless. So, the sin that is in the bible does not take place on campus or at the function. This aspect makes it seem a bit harsh... but if the influence has become to the point that it has become a norm at the school- then, I can understand why the school was pushed into the corner. I think their statement was done respectfully and with love. I dont think it is about hatred, AIDS (which was very unlikely passed through homosexul women...I would think...), or bullying. If these girls had said they were going as best friends and not as lovers, the school would probably have turned a blind eye. At Lexington Catholic you do not go and openly make statements about carrying drugs and alcohol on the school premises.. or they would have no choice but to do something about it. I stand behind LCHS' Prom decision as well.

All of you who label these kids as "sick" and that AIDS began from homosexuality disgust me with your blatant ignorance and close-minded, heartless souls. Do you really believe that anyone who is homosexual actually wants to be? Don't you think, because of people like you, that they wish, more than anything, that they could change the way they are? Truth: THEY CAN'T. And then to deny them the single most important expression that God, the CHRISTIAN God, has shown us and asks us to show others - "for the greatest of these is LOVE." These kids simply wanted to enjoy prom together, and it's amazing how, had they entered as friends, it would have been no big deal even though that doesn't change the way they feel about one another, and yet because they wanted to enter as a couple that was not acceptable. And for those of you who say they should go to another school if they wanted to participate in that "behavior" - did it ever occur to you that they didn't have a choice in where to go to high school? I'm certain their parents wanted them to attend Lexington Catholic and these girls have been trying to make the best of their time in high school. How utterly pathetic this incidence is, it makes me disappointed to be living in this city.

Why is anyone taking up for these two. I could care less what gays do, however Lexington Catholic is a private school and has a Christian doctrine and if they have a problem with that they need to go to public school.

One thing for sure, these two sick kids showed total disreguard for the other kids prom night. They surely knew that they would create a circus and cause a disturbance. I'm sure they are happy with their fifteen minuets of fame.

Have any of you non religious perverts ever read scriptures in the Bible where God destroyed two whole cities for their Homosexual acts. Get a life non believers and think about where AIDS started from.
