The Salvation Army reports it is more than $100,000 short of it's fundraising goal for the season.
The Salvation Army’s traditional outdoor Red Kettle Campaign raised $382,938.61. That's $117,061.39 short of the $500,000 Kettle goal. Christmas Eve was the last day people could make donations at stores, but the online Red Kettle will be accepting donations through December 31, 2012. The Kettle campaign is the largest Salvation Army fund raiser and it provides critical operating dollars for The Salvation Army’s Emergency Shelter, Boys and Girls Club, Food Pantry, Basic Needs & Emergency Services and the Early Learning Center.
