Salvation Army Angel Tree - 807 Children Still Need To Be Adopted

The Salvation Army in Lexington made a plea to the community on Thursday to select a child's angel card and buy a gift before Sunday's 2:00 p.m. deadline.
The Salvation Army in Lexington made a public plea on Thursday for help with its annual Angel Tree program.

With just four days until the deadline, the names of 807 children in need still hadn't been chosen to receive a gift at Christmas.

The program began November 15th with nearly 6,000 names.

The deadline is this Sunday, December 8th, to select a child's angel card and buy  a gift(s) or make a financial donation designated to The Salvation Army Angel Tree.

Angel tags/cards can be found at Fayette Mall (near Dillard's) and Whitaker Bank (Hamburg branch).

Gifts can be taken directly to The Salvation Army Christmas Center at 1030 South Broadway in Lexington between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., or to the Whitaker Bank Hamburg branch or Fayette Mall near Dillard's.
