Workers are removing parts of a mangled span on a western Kentucky bridge.
The structure in Marshall County was badly damaged last week when a cargo ship crashed into it.
The Delta Mariner was headed to Florida when it failed to clear the bridge.
The U.S. Coast Guard gave the O.K. yesterday for a salvage plan.
There is no word yet on how long the repairs will take.
