There are rules for high school sports in Kentucky, but very few for middle school.
That could be changing.
The Legislation Research Commission is putting together a task force.
Its goal is to recommend health and safety standards for middle school students.
Right now there is no panel overseeing safety, Coach training and play regulations for middle school students.
The task force is supposed to be in place by August First.
