Solid Blue Fans were tailgating for a good cause before the UK, Florida game tonight at Rupp Arena.

The 2nd Annual Roundball BASH was a fundraiser for the Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital.

Organization said the money will be used as part of a $1 million project for three therapeutic pools at the hospital.

“The Aquatic Center is huge for Cardinal Hill,” Rob Pedigo, a Cardinal Hill Junior Board Member said.

Pedigo used the pool for therapy when he was a patient 16 years ago.

“All the different units: stroke unit, spinal cord unit, everything, everybody at the hospital benefits greatly from having the state of the art facility there to be able to use,” he said.

Tailgate crowd favorites returned for the event like corn-hole, pop-a-shot, and a southern-style menu.

The band Sundy Best also performed.
