Robbery Leads To Shots Fired At Lexington Apartment

A robbery at Walnut Hill Apartments in Lexington led to shots being fired late Thursday night.

An attempted robbery ended in gunshots at a Lexington apartment complex late Thursday night into early Friday morning.

Chance had a lot to do with the Lexington PD’s arrests early Friday morning. They said an officer in the area heard shots fired before the robbery call even came in.

That was around 11:30 Thursday night at 3716 Trent Circle.

Police said two men; Timetrius Stewart and Jeramie Christopher Tucker robbed a couple of people at the Walnut Hill apartment community.

Police reported two to three shots were fired but no one was injured. It was after the robbery when the officer that heard the shots saw someone in the suspect vehicle toss a gun out the window. They stopped that car on Centre Parkway.

Police said suspects in the car were cuffed as they continued the investigation. They said they were able to find evidence that led them to believe that the suspects were connected to the theft.

Those men face charges including robbery and drug possession. An officer on the scene said there will be charges associated with the shots that were fired but those are still pending.
