Road closure scheduled for KY 4 (New Circle Road) in Fayette County

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announced today that a temporary road closure will be scheduled for KY 4 (New Circle Road) in Lexington, Fayette County, on Sunday, march 10th, 5:00a.m to 9:00a.m.  The closure is necessary for overhead utility crossing work to be completed.

The location for the road closure on KY 4 (New Circle Road) will be at mile point 8.75 (near the Georgetown Road Exit 8 Ramp). 

This section of road will be closed for periods of 15 minutes with intervals of 20 – 25 minutes in between to allow traffic through.

Appropriate signage and traffic control devices will be in place to alert the traveling public.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the work area.
