Construction Worker Hit & Killed In Versailles

Versailles Police said a construction worker was killed Monday after being hit by a car.

Officers said a Toyota Corolla hit 36-year-old Kendale Terrell Ashby of Sharpsburg around 9:00 a.m. at Moores Mill Road and Leestown Road.

According to police, Ashby was getting ready to direct traffic when it happened.

Investigators said he later died at Georgetown Community Hospital.

Police are still looking into what happened.

Officers said that as of Monday night, the driver had not been charged.
