Richmond Police are looking for information about a possible scam.

They say the Hardin County Circuit Clerk's office was contacted by a man offering to sell ads to local businesses in order to produce a calendar for the office.

According to investigators, the man then collected $100 to $350 from at least 30 different people, but the Clerk thought it his claim may be fraudulent and told the man to refund all of the money he collected, but he apparently left the area and didn't respond to phone calls.

Witnesses say someone working with the man who called the Clerk's office picked up the checks and is described as a man in his 30's with dark hair, a thin build, and arm tattoos driving a red Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck.

If you are contacted by anyone offering similar services or have any information about the situation, call Detective Sergeant Rodney Richardson with the Richmond Police Department at 859-623-1162.
