Richmond Police: Michigan Man Charged With Drug Trafficking

Richmond Police arrested Carl Anderson, 35, of Hamtramck, Michigan on drug trafficking charges following a search of an apartment.
Richmond Police said a search of an apartment on Sara Leigh Drive led to the arrest of a Michigan man on drug trafficking charges.

Police said Carl Anderson, 35, of Hamtramck, Michigan, was charged with three counts of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree and Trafficking in Marijuana (Less than 8-ounces).

Police said another man in the apartment, Malachi Jamal Greathouse, 19, of Roseville, Michigan, was charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Giving False Name to a Police Officer.

Police said the search of the apartment on Monday was part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.

Police said Richmond Police Department Narcotics detectives made controlled purchases of Percocet pills (a total of 15) from the apartment on two previous occasions leading up to the search.

Police said they bought the pills from Carl Anderson.

During the search of the apartment, investigators said they recovered 54 Percocet pills, six baggies of marijuana and approximately $4,000 in cash.

Both Anderson and Greathouse were arrested and taken to the Madison County Detention Center.
