Richmond Man Accused Of Hitting Girlfriend With Car During Argument

Richmond Police said Clarence Gentry, 58, of Richmond, hit his girlfriend with his car after she got out at her home following an argument with Gentry. He was charged with wanton endangerment.
Richmond Police said Clarence Gentry, 58, of Richmond, hit his girlfriend with his car after she got out of the vehicle following an argument between the two.

Police said it happened Thursday around 5:30 a.m. in the 400 block of Francis Street.

Investigators said after the reported incident, Gentry drove off and was later located on Berea Road.

He was stopped, arrested and charged with DUI and Wanton Endangerment, according to police.

He was lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.

Gentry's girlfriend was taken to Baptist Health Richmond for treatment.
