A new report is raising some concerns about Governor Beshear's use of a state airplane.

The Lexington Herald Leader says Beshear used a state plane to go to the Southeastern Conference basketball tournament in New Orleans.

The newspaper also says the plane was used to take first lady Jane Beshear to Florida to visit friends.

State Republican Party chairman Steve Robertson told the paper that the personal use of state property was not appropriate.

But a spokeswoman for the Governor says the Democratic Party will foot the tab since Beshear participated in some Democratic Party activities during the trip.
