Representative Danny Ford is retiring from the General Assembly.

The Republican has spent 31 years in the legislature. His 80th district includes Rockcastle, Lincoln, and part of Pulaski Counties. He's been in the state house longer than any Republican since 1900.

Ford says when this term ends, he will spend more time with his family and continue his work with the family real estate and auction business.
