A Republican who wants to be Central Kentucky's Congressman is not happy with the redistricting plan passed Tuesday by the Kentucky House.
The Democrat-controlled lower chamber passed its plan along party lines 54-42.
The Republican-dominated Senate is expected to make major changes.
Andy Barr, who ran a close race against Democratic Congressman Ben Chandler in 2010, calls the House plan "an incumbent-protection scheme."
In an interview Monday with ABC 36 News, Chandler said "any of the lines" drawn by the legislature will suit him.
"The biggest issue really is the political environment more than it is the lines I think. You're going to rise or fall based on the political environment you're dealing with more than anything else," says Chandler.
Barr announced last summer that he would challenge Chandler again this year.
The 2010 race was the third closest congressional race in the country.
