The daily scattered showers and storms we've seen this summer have kept some people from having their cars washed as often as they usually do.

The scattered storms make it difficult for car washes to schedule employees since it's hard to say which cities will be hit by the storms each afternoon.

Unless the forecast is dry, some people have stayed away, waiting for a drier forecast.

Last year's drought kept customers coming back without fear of upcoming rain according to Jason Widmer, the owner of the Lexington Auto Spa on Winchester Road.

He also says the company's detailing business is still strong and that some people come just to get the inside of their cars cleaned with or without rain in the forecast.
