A transformer has been replaced, allowing 850 state workers to return to their jobs on Wednesday.

A transformer problem Tuesday knocked out power at the Capital Plaza Complex. Because of the lack of power, 850 state workers were told not to come to work Tuesday. The transformer, which was about 40 years old, has been replaced. Power was restored, and the work day tomorrow should be normal.

The state says workers will not be "charged" with a day off.
