Pool Lifeguards In Frankfort Save Child From Drowning

Lifeguards at the Juniper Hills Park swimming pool saved a child from drowning, according to Frankfort Police.

Investigators said the lifeguards pulled the child out of the water shortly before 1:00 p.m. 

Paramedics administered first aid at the scene before the child was taken to Frankfort Regional Medical.

The child is from Shelby County.  No name was released.

The Frankfort Department of Parks is conducting an administrative investigation into the incident.
