Police bust Whitley County meth lab

Kentucky State Police arrested three people in Whitley County on meth charges.

Officers noticed a strong chemical smell when they responded to a residence on Deep Branch Road to serve an outstanding warrant. Inside, they found two active meth labs. Police arrested 52-year-old Cecil Hamblin, 41-year-old Vic Tackett and 40-year-old Patrick Stamps.

Hamblin and Tackett both face several charges that include manufacturing meth, while Stamps is charged with tampering with physical evidence.
