Police: Toyota Employee Lied To Police About Being Shot

On Monday night around ten thirty the Georgetown Police responded to a shooting near the Toyota Plant.

Police said an employee claimed he was shot during his lunch break. But now, they say he made up the whole story.Officers said the man claimed that someone approached him, tried to rob him, and shot him in the side.

After an investigation, officers determined that the man actually shot himself. Police said the employee will be charged with falsifying a report. His name has not been released.
