Georgetown Police say three men stole $120,000 worth of metal from a local business.

Police say Benjamin Smith, 54, Randall Menefee, 27, and Robert Bellamy, 24, stole 15 cast aluminum injection molds from Johnson Controls in Georgetown.

The molds weighed between 300 and 400 pounds each.

Police say they've been investigating the theft since May 2nd, and recently got information from the Scott County Sheriff's Department on the suspects as well as where the metal might have been sold.

Officers checked local scrap yards and say the suspects' names were in the ledgers next to the stolen items.

Johnson Controls makes seats for Toyota and other car manufacturers.

Police say restitution for Johnson Contols will hopefully come from prosecution of the three men.

Smith and Bellamy were charged with receiving stolen property over $10,000. Menefee was charged with two counts of burglary and theft by unlawful taking.
