A Lexington teen is behind bars after he fired shots inside his home, police said.
According to court documents, Nathan Smith, 19, was inside his home on Dover Road when he fired two shots from a 9mm handgun through the floor of his bedroom.
The two bullets traveled through the floor and into a relative’s bedroom, landing just a few feet away from the bed she was sleeping in, the arrest citation said.
He also struck the relative, causing minor injuries, police said.
Smith is charged with wanton endangerment and assault.
