Lexington Police said a masked man fired shots into a hotel room during a robbery Tuesday night.

Investigators said two men and a woman were in a room at the Bluegrass Extended Stay Hotel on Richmond Road when the three heard a knock on the door.

Police said the reported victims told investigators that when they answered the door, two men in masks demanded cash.

The reported victims told police that one of the men had a gun and the other had a baseball bat.

The reported victims told police that when they refused to hand over any money, one of the suspects fired shots into the hotel room while the other hit one of the victims with the baseball bat.

Police said no one was hit by any bullets.

Investigators said two men were brought in for questioning.  As of this writing, no one had been charged.

Police said they were trying to figure out if the reported victims knew the suspects.
