Lexington Police are searching for a man after they said his wife's body was found in a hotel room.

Investigators weren't releasing any names in the case, but said the death was suspicious.

But they said officers were called to America's Best Value Inn on Versailles Road around 7:00 p.m. Saturday after a housekeeper reportedly found the woman.

According to police, the woman and her husband checked into the hotel Friday night.

Police said hotel staff went to the room later Friday night after reports of people arguing inside.

The woman reportedly told staff she was okay.

Police were trying to track down her husband to talk to him about the case.

They said he was last seen leaving the hotel on Saturday.

His car was found abandoned on a road Saturday night in Woodford County, according to police.

Investigators are waiting on autopsy results to determine how the woman died.
