Police are looking for a man wanted for kidnapping.  Police say Alex Washington kidnapped, and beat a woman with a tire iron in his basement.

Police arrested Washington's wife, and charged her with kidnapping, but they are still looking for him.

Police say Alex Washington may have been high on cocaine, and thought somebody stole his drugs.  According to police, Alex wanted to wanted to interrogate the victim about where his drugs were.

Police say Washington took the victim to his house here on Dalna Drive, and forced her into the basement early Tuesday morning.

Police say Alex Washington held a knife to another man's throat, and forced him to tie up the victim.  Police say Alex and his wife then gagged the victim, and beat her with a tire iron.  Police say Jennifer Washington told the victim, "You're gonna get what you deserve."

From the assault, police say the victim was cut and bruised.  Jennifer Washington's daughter watched police arrest her mom on Tuesday night.

"She said help.  Watch my brother.  She'll see me soon," said Markiah Irvin, Jennifer Washington's daughter 11-year-old daughter.

Police charged Jennifer Washington with kidnapping.  Her daughter says she was sleeping when the reported kidnapping took place, and her mom went into the basement to tell them to be quiet.

"I just heard yelling and like get out, kind of, something like that," said Irvin.

Police say Jennifer Washington participated in the kidnapping and assault.

Police got a tip Alex Washington was at the Sportsman Motel late Tuesday night, but police say Washington saw them coming, and got away.

The Washington's moved into the house on Dalna Drive about a month ago, and a neighbor says they haven't been there long enough to know them.
