Police said a man was arrested Sunday after another man's body was found off of a Woodford County road.

Police said the body had been dragged post mortem behind a truck more than a mile.

Vernon Saunders appeared in court on Monday afternoon. He is charged with murder, tampering with evidence and abusing a corpse.

Investigators say a passing driver spotted the body lying off of Highway 33.

Police said their investigation led them to a home on Troy Pike.

After a standoff, investigators said Saunders surrendered to police.

Police say Saunders shot his brother.
