UK Police say a man used a fire extinguisher to hit four people Thursday on the UK campus.

Police say it happened just after 7:00am at the Thomas Poe Cooper Forestry building.

Investigators say the man walked into the building and took a fire extinguisher off a wall and hit a female custodian.

Police say he then kicked his way into a researcher's office and hit a woman.

Both of those women had minor injuries.

Police came and arrested 23-year-old Chase Jackson.

UK Police Chief Joe Monroe says Jackson hit two officers with the fire extinguisher, but they weren't hurt.

Monroe says Jackson has no connection to UK or the people inside the forestry building.

Monroe told ABC 36 he suspects the man has some kind of mental illness.
