Police in Clay County say a Magistrate stabbed his wife then shot and killed himself.

The coroner says James Lyttle shot himself in the head.

His wife Sharon is now at UK Hospital.

The Police Chief says it's not clear yet why all of this happened.

Lyttle was in his first-term as a magistrate.
