Lexington police released a security photo Monday night after an attempted robbery and shooting.

Officers say three men tried to rob the Pantry Fresh Market on Squires Road.

Police say the two employees inside at the time, an 18-year old and his father, started throwing items at them.

Officers say the men left, then fired shots at the store.

Police say the 18-year old clerk was hit.

He was rushed to UK Hospital in serious condition.

So far, no arrests in the case.
