Police Officer And Horse Hit By Car

A Lexington Police Officer and a police horse were hit by a car last week. Officials have now made an arrest.

Police arrested a man on Sunday afternoon; they say he hit an officer on horseback in Lexington Thursday night.
The Lexington Police say William Grimes was entering information into his G-P-S when he hit a mounted patrol on Main Street.
Officer Ray Alexander was thrown from his horse Poco, they both suffered minor injuries. Paco was checked out by a vet for bruises and scrapes. According to Officials after Grimes hit the officer he left the scene to clean the car and then left the state. The grand jury will decide whether or not to indict him.
