Police: Bike Rider Hit And Killed In Lexington

A bike rider has died in Lexington.

Police tell ABC 36 a man riding a bicycle tried to cross Midland Avenue at the intersection with Main Street Tuesday evening he was hit by a car.

The coroner says he was 41-year-old Jason Baines of Lexington.

Investigators say some bystanders tried to perform CPR but couldn't save him.

Police say the driver is not expected to be cited.
